Silloth

Were you, uh, bor- were you brought up in the town?

Yeah, in a place called Silloth, sunny Silloth, so on the other side of the Solway, right on the side of the Solway Firth.

Oh, right.

So we looked over onto like Criffel and Dumfries.

And- So like allotments almost.

Yeah.

At Silloth, where I lived, there was an airfield like literally over the back.

We could walk to the airfield.

It's like you, you, you, you...

If you wind the clock back, say, five, 10 years ago, Silloth was classed as a hi- hidden gem.

But it was, it was always in the chat of could it host The Open? But it, it's, uh, something a bit different, isn't it, really, Silloth?

Yeah, everybody knows about Silloth now, don't they?

Yeah, everyone knows Silloth.

Yeah.

It's like if you, if you wanna play a top 100, like, or a re- top, top course and you want to spend under 100 quid, Silloth is the answer, isn't it? [laughs]
