So he was very diverse on the field.

Yeah.

And so, you know, I'm leaning like, yeah, we're getting ready to go play at Alabama.

All right.

You know, Georgia, not knowing it was going to be basketball.

And now here you are in the room meeting him and he's trying to pitch you.

Why and how has it been the right move for you to be coached by somebody like Hurley?

Yeah, I would say the reasoning for me to even pick a school like this is you just look at, like, recency.

Like, them being able to win, bring championships, I knew that was something I wanted to do.

I feel like in high school, I had won a lot.

I had won an AAU, won at a prep level, so...

And at my first two years, we were up and down with winning.

So I just wanted to be back around like winning ways.

Just take me through what you saw in those moments and what you guys were trying to do.

Like, what were you up to earlier in the summer? When did you get back to campus?

Yeah, early in the summer, I kind of just went home and, you know, just got away, you know, just rehabbed back home.

Do a lot of stuff for my ankle.

And then I think we got back to campus early June.

And then I think like the next day we were starting individual workouts, like positional workouts.

And then.

Like later in the week, we did some team workouts and we've been kind of team workouts ever since.

Kind of tell us, like, what were some of your favorite memories of this first season here at UConn and what was that experience like for you?

See, it's about grassroots hoops and about Hoosiers and all that, but why is North Carolina the hoop state?

I mean, we got Michael Jordan, Steph Curry, and if we want to go grassroots, we got Team Curry, Team Wall.

It's an abundance of names you can go through.

Dennis Smith Jr. at one point, Kobe White.

I think Bam is kind of partially from there.

I think we got a bunch of names that would call us the hoop stage.
