imagining you with your like with your with your carry-on and it's just like full of frisbees and they're like

well the tourist so we when we first tried this out like in a full field season so after we established yes we're going to use frisbees then we wanted to try it in the secondary forest because the trees are shorter so the animals were lower but that's also where the tourists are and so we didn't love that because the tourists thought they should be able to get as close as we were getting and you know so that that wasn't great but Then we've also collected urine from Shifak, the Borough Shifak over in the dry spiny forest on the West Coast.

And for that, it's so much easier.

It's still really tricky because you have to keep samples frozen and all that is hard.

and well I guess yeah I'm in the middle of a writing challenge so I feel like I need these writing challenges to keep me focused on my work so all the other things like teaching and mentoring and all that uh service doesn't sort of you know, it's always the priority.

And so I'm making space for my writing.

And so I'm revisiting an old project looking at testosterone and dihydrotestosterone in male and female Shifak lemurs.

And these are, you know, it's a female dominant species.
