I know you got a chance to see him at East Coast Pro.

Theo Swafford, he's from Sierra Canyon, California, shortstop.

The swing, Seif, is kind of similar to a Kyle Teel, like just the way his hands get into position But the bat to ball, the way it jumps off, I keep looking at him like there's a very Kyle Teel type, um, situation going on here.

This guy can really hit, had a great summer bat to ball.

St. Louis is on the road.

They're playing at Sierra Canyon and losing 31-0 at halftime.

I think that's the number six team in the country.

I believe so,

In Sierra Canyon, is that the team Punahou goes to play all the time in San Diego? Or I'm thinking of somebody else.

um yeah i won't speak out a turn on that one but uh uh st louis young team so uh this has been kind of a kind of a growing year for tupu alu alu and his squad um i look at that friday slate and immediately i look at punahou kamehameha we'll have that on uh on our sister station the new 1420 hawaii's news and sports um i've seen different kickoff times by the way i've got one place that's telling me seven o'clock at the ilh website saying it's at 6 30 either way punahou kamehameha tomorrow night i i feel i have

seven o'clock in the star advertising yeah

Still very highly touted recruiting targets.

But then you've got a guy... who was really underrated, mostly because of injuries early in his career, transfers from Los Alamitos over to Sierra Canyon, and that's Tron Baker.

Tron Baker is starting also, and Tron Baker has had some great catches.

And not just great catches, Chris.

No real surprises other than Tron Baker, which I think the way we saw him come out of the spring and then maintain that buzz throughout fall camp, it kind of didn't sneak up on us too much.

But I think certainly, as Chris talked about, when that 2026 class started to come together and you started seeing all the options and the names on the board and the way USC was recruiting, you wondered, okay, is Tron Baker – a commit from yesteryear and not necessarily a guy that's going to fit and be able to play at the level that USC is recruiting at right now.

And he stayed committed, and he had a decent year with Sierra Canyon.

Not a great year, but a healthy year.

I think that it's a tribute to- to Chad Bowden and the- the recruiting that we did, right? Getting that number one recruiting class, first time since 2006, that we know about.

But these guys that we- we got, right? I mean, obviously the local talent guys, uh, Dixon-Wyatt, Trinity Lee, Trond Baker, you know, obviously playing big boy football at Sierra Canyon.

These guys, um, are, you know, coming from great programs.
