Sickle cell trait

If you know someone who is a trade carrier, send them to WDCO1SCT.org. Studies have shown that people have collapsed and died from sickle cell trait exertion with rhabdomyelosis.

That was my experience in the military.

Career ending, injury for me, and became an advocate for that in rhabdo.

So hydration is key, very important, but also make sure you know your trait status.

There are other red blood cell conditions out there like sickle cell trait, thalassemia trait, C trait, D trait.

We've seen athletes collapse and pass away from those inherited genes, so that is my advocacy work.
