Sick New World

Yeah, that was, that...

I saw him at a-[sighs] I think it was Sick New World.

Okay.

Or, ah, forget, but they were awesome.

And you just kind of talk about like Starbucks and stuff sponsoring it.

It just reminded me of when we went to Sick New World in Las Vegas.

Oh, yeah.

God, it was, I just thought it was so stupid because it was, like, Red Bull was there giving out free Red Bull.

Which means more Halloween parties, which I don't love more stuff on my schedule, but it's what it is.

But it's the same night, 10/24, as Sick New World-

[laughs]

... which is the festival happening at TMS.

I'll lock in three.

Godhead said, are you going to be at Sick New World in Fort Worth? No, I do not think I'm going to make it to that one.

I know there's a couple of Sick New World festivals happening, but... don't think i'm gonna be making it to uh any of those this year but i never say never who knows i mean there's still a chance i might make the trip but as of now i am not planning on going to fort worth texas for sick new world but if that does change i'll let you know court julio does vocals said besides your playlist submission form is there any secret way the djs at octane are introduced to new music are record labels still the primary way bands are pitched There's definitely no secret way.

I mean, all the DJs on Octane, like myself, we're just normal people.

We discover music the same way you probably discover music.

Okay, I won't.

And then I'm starting to plan for Sick New World.

Oh, yeah.

Sick

I emailed the sick new world.

How do I not know that thing existed until you told me last night?

The Sick New World Festival.

Sick New World Festival at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas.

Yep.

October 29th?

The high schooler inside of me is super excited about that show you went to.

Sick New World.

Sick New World.

So Sick New World was right.

I just went to it this past year.

I think it was March or April.

So it would literally go from like crazy rock and roll, him going nuts, screaming on stage to like into like a thematic kind of scenery of all these like visuals of Beetlejuice and it would be the theme of Beetlejuice.

So it was an orchestra and him and it was pretty damn cool.

Honestly, it's simple, but it's powerful.

That's why, too, that you and Jeff decided to go to Sick New World in Fort Worth.

And it's a music festival.

And I decided I was going to have fear of missing out if I wasn't there.

Slipknot's working on a new album.

System of Doubt is going to do some more one-off concerts, including Sick New World in Texas.

These bands are doing things.

People are working, and they're working together, not just on their own projects.
