Shuttle–UM

It's really appreciated to kind of introduce our viewers into your little niche in sustainability.

Um, kind of getting into more of the specific action on campus that you guys are completing, I wanted to talk a little about, a little bit about your public transportation network and Shuttle UMD.

It's something you guys have mentioned as a very, uh, sustainable aspect of your campus.

Can you kind of talk us through that project, a little bit of its history and how it's been able to contribute to those sustainability efforts on campus?

Sure.

I- I'm happy to talk about Shuttle UMD, and it's actually, um, one of our longest sustainability initiatives, I think.

So it's our complimentary transit service serving students, faculty, staff, and College Park residents from the city of College Park.

It's one of the largest, um, college transit systems in the nation, and it has an annual ridership of over a million people, or a million rides.
