And so after a tryout at the National Theater and then the Colonial Theater, the show premiered on Broadway at the Schubert Theater in December of 1968 and closed in January of 1972.

It was directed by Robert Moore and choreographed by Michael Bennett with Bob Avian as the assistant choreographer.

So a legendary team there.

So, uh, their upcoming show, their big upcoming show, as we've talked about, is Anastasia.

We got a show in Boston, October the 3rd, Saturday night, Shubert Theater.

These American audiences don't understand.

On the 19th of July 2012, it was announced that the show would open on the 11th of April 2013 at the Shubert Theatre, with previews commencing on the 4th of March of 2013.

Bringing back two of our beloved actors, we've got Bertie Carville and Lauren Ward that would continue their roles as Miss Trunchbull and Miss Honey.

For the four-girl cast of Matilda, you had Sophia Genusa, Una Lawrence, Bailey Ryan and Millie Shapiro playing the titular role of Matilda.

next coming next is Galileo um again opening in December at the Shubert Theater and welcome back to Broadway Raul Esparza

oh I've been waiting for him I love Raul Esparza that is a legend to me

But also like in this cast, Joy Woods, who we love.

And then we ended up back on Broadway, but it was a very short run.

Um, because like a Nederlander theater wasn't open and only a Schubert was open and they didn't want to go into a Schubert.

So we went into the city center and then apparently Dick Van Dyke got bad reviews or something.

So the show closed.

And this is when I first met like Jess Loprado because he was doing Boy From Oz.

And so we, at that point on Broadway, there was a couple of kids shows around, but I have this distinct memory of Jess coming over to the Shubert Theater in between shows and the kids hanging out.

And, but that was, yeah, the first time I met Jess.

And then I met Kevin not too far later.

Cool.

May 7th, Cole Porter's musical Can-Can starring Gwen Verdon and Hans Conrad opens at Shubert Theater, New York City.

It runs for 892 performances and wins a Tony Award for Verdon.

Can you, can you do the can-can? That's all I ever think of.
