What were the kind of early lessons for you that have shaped your approach?
0:26
Oh, one good one that came hard and fast was not to, what's, there's a quote and we're probably going to butcher it, not to let perfection be the enemy of good, good enough, you know? And so I remember even like early curriculum and being a startup, Mark, it was quite humbling because I was still, I was still quite young.
0:41
I didn't really know much about the world, but it's sort of required to go where the work's needed.
0:45
So for, you know, at times I was like drafting curriculum that teachers would then review.
0:49
And I remember feeling so much sort of imposter syndrome of, will this be good enough and this need to get everything perfect and right.
0:57
And it was a quick lesson to kind of lean into the more design.
1:02
Now the language I have, of course, more like design thinking agile, just get something out, iterate, iterate, iterate.

Is there one that you'd like to share with us?
15:18
Maybe to start, I think just acknowledging that is already a huge step.
15:22
Even if we can acknowledge, wow, there's a lot of fear in me and I'm living in a system built on a f- feeling of, of separation, and I'm colluding and supporting that system, you know, and, and that's showing up in different ways.
15:34
And just to acknowledge that is huge because in that awareness there's some space.
15:38
Well, if I acknowledge this, maybe it could be different.
15:41
Already the fear loses its grip a little bit as opposed to someone that's just running on the hamster wheel all the time, you know, as we often find in our corporate cultures where there's no time to even notice or presence what's happening because we are just chasing and surviving.
15:54
And so I think that, to your, your first question of how do we move, I think just acknowledging that is already much bigger, you know, already a huge step.

If you talk to us about that aspect of restorative, um, work maybe.
