And Peter Jackson, who, like Sam Raimi over there with Spider-Man, came up through the indie ranks, came up through the exploitation ranks, and how important that background was for both of those franchises.

um how important the indie dimension was to those to those fan tracks and how quickly it went away and it really does go away it goes away in terms of the subsequent lord of the rings the tolkien subsequent tolkien trilogy uh as well as you know by the time we get to you know shrek 3 and and spider-man 3 i mean you know the see you later you know it's it's and the the you look at the critical response to those movies and it's just like off a cliff

from uh spider-man 2 being widely considered in 2004 the best of all those franchise cape crusader movies uh and then you know the next one uh you look at the critical reception and and just the general reception um in terms of uh spider-man 3 and you know forget about it um what's also interesting is you you know anyway and we could i could go on and on about uh you know the differences between lord of the rings and and uh and the subsequent Tolkien stuff, and the fact that, you know, another kind of key moment in terms of 2004 is the Oscars that spring, where Lord of the Rings 3, right, Return of the King, 11 nominations, 11 Oscars, Best Picture, Best Director, and so on and so forth.

... yeah, I, I heard that.

Yeah, I was about to bring up the Shrek the Third, and but I heard that, um, er- when that movie m- made a reference to the Holy Grail and-

But there, there's, there is respectfully referencing something because you admire it, and then there's ripping something off.

In the end, does it matter whose idea it was to make a charity single? Isn't it more important that this song was briefly in Shrek the Third? That's right, we're talking That's What Friends Are For, originally performed by Rod Stewart for the third Shrek Timber on Cover Me.

So who framed Roger Rabbit in 1988? And then their last credit, at least here is Shrek the third.

um in between they have a tales from the crypt episode or two episodes that makes sense because of zemeckis yeah yeah
