Shooter Jennings

Yeah.

So you worked with Shooter Jennings on your record, and I wonder like, obviously, I, I mean, I, I think I could've picked the first time that I saw you play that Waylon was one of your touchstones-

Yeah

... because there's elements of that, that sound and that approach and some of the attitude and sort of the, the, like even the sensuality in a lot of his vocals that I feel like is imprinted in parts of your music.

Yes.

[laughs]

... who maybe you can't say, "Hey, let's do this thing that's a bit like this Waylon Jennings record," is Shooter Jennings.

Oh, yeah.

Well, I mean, Waylon Jennings' son is named Shooter.

Shooter Jennings.

He's another.

All right, can you imagine

We talked a lot about 9-11 and other things because we recorded on September 11th.

Alicia Blue we had on, she's done some incredible, incredible things with Shooter Jennings and just her career in general has just been fucking amazing.

Yesterday, Aaron Duvall was here.

Today, Landon Wall is here.

And we reached out to like Miles Kennedy.

We asked early on and or like Shooter Jennings.

These are just the people

I remember from the early days.

That's off of the No Regular Dog album.

Fantastic album produced by Shooter Jennings.

Some great players and Kelsey's fantastic songs.

Really liking that album.

And there's other stuff that sound nothing like that.

But this is the last... album that apparently he's working with Tyler Bates I believe is his name is a guitarist that he's worked with for a very long time him and Gil Sharon have worked with Manson for quite some years now and they've helped produce and mix and write a lot of music although he has worked with Shooter Jennings in between but yeah if you're a Manson fan you're gonna you'll dig this

And then, well, he discovers country through a guy named Shooter Jennings, the son of Waylon Jennings.
