Shootaround

Hey, I think we didn't really mince words on how we felt about it.

So, VJ Edgecombe, was this earlier today at Shootaround? Yeah, at

Shootaround.

This is your post on X or Twitter from VJ Edgecombe saying, basically, to be honest, it feels like a regular season game when asked to compare it to a postseason game.

You know, how does it feel? Does it feel any different? Honestly, it feels like a regular season game, but at the end of the day, you want to win every regular season game.

But he had a career – I mean, he had a career year last year for a Phoenix team that overachieved.

You know what's funny about you saying that, Jeff, is I interviewed Yaxel at Shootaround, and Matt is 100% right.

Like, Draymond and Steph are coaching him up at a high level.

It's actually really cool to watch.

There's one play, there's an offensive rebound.

This happened around the five and a half, six minute mark or so, where Zaire Williams, and we talked to Zaire today at Shootaround, he talked about the rebounding emphasis, just got to put a body on someone.

Zyre Williams looks back at Danny Avdija crashing He makes contact with Denny, turns to try to push him backward, and Denny just moves him, grabs the offensive rebound, and taps the ball back in.

And he just big-boyed him.

Yes, we will rise.

It does look like Cooper Flagg, Leroy, is getting shots up at Shootaround today, so it looks like he's going to play tonight.

His list is questionable, but...

Everybody should be able to see the 19-year-old sensation number one pick from last year, which totally was on the level and not just because they inexplicably traded Luka.

Go ahead.

Yeah, just kind of thinking with the ball pressure, I'm wondering if – Is Peyton Watson the guy to help in those ball pressure situations? Mario Hazonia, I think, brought up a really good point in Shootaround today when the clip that has been really, the quote has been misrepresented because that's actually not what he said.

Okay, what did he

say? I didn't actually see.

It's Matt George and Kayla Anderson on Sacktown Sports 1140.

Well, during the break, we were just listening to Malik Monk at Shootaround this morning.

He spoke after Shootaround, and...

Okay.

I'm worried

When we come back, it's lunch break time.

How do the Kings get in, or rather avoid getting blown out by Portland tonight? We'll talk more about DeMondis Abonis' strong comments at Kings practice, Darius Acuff Jr.

taking responsibility in practice, and Malik Monk's weird comments at Shootaround today.

We have four or five things we should talk about, but just vibes.

You were at Shootaround today, building up into this.

How was it being around the team these last 12, 14 hours?

Yeah, I think just in the last week of talking to players, talking to Finch, talking to some of the executives, it felt like... internally they're like this feels so good right now from a vibe standpoint players being that they were almost like cautious you know like cautiously optimistic i guess but um i don't think everybody believed that it was going to be this type of performance uh that we saw from the wolves which was uh for anybody who missed it again a very one-sided performance where the wolves look like a team that wasn't playing their first game of the season.
