The community safety

patrols, Shomrim and Brooklyn, Hatsala for medical response, are even further from official power.

They're private citizens with radios.

They could observe, report, and sometimes make a citizen's arrest.

But they have no more legal authority than you or I do.

Though they sometimes act like they do.

There have been incidents where Shomrim volunteers detained someone and held them until police arrived.

Legally, that's a citizen's arrest, which any person can do for a felony or a breach of the peace.

We're coming back strong.

in? Yes, we have reached out to all of the, to all of the, I don't know the word in English, flipping into Hebrew for some reason, just to all the authorities and the police and we're getting the Shomrim, which is a volunteer group who will be on site and we should have quite a lot of security.

And if it helps the audience, we do have officials from our government at various levels who are attending the event.

So they obviously are checking in.
