So like, I think the great example of some movies that don't start well and then become blockbusters is actually Sholay.

Sholay is one such movie that people don't remember when it had first come out.

It actually tanked.

And then it later on became such a giant hit.

And there's a guy who had a name to live down all his life.

And then finally, at number 929 on the critics list is Sholay, which is one of the most revered Bollywood films.

I do not know a great deal about it, but I have dabbled a little bit into Indian films.

Some of them have gotten even more notoriety recently, since the time that the Apu trilogy came out in the 50s.

The film starts with a brutal murder scene in which decoyed Bharat Thakur is shown killing Ajit Singh's family.

If you remember the scene in Sholay when Gabbar kills Thakur's family, It is quite similar.

The Sholi scene was more brutal, but this one is a close second.

That scene might make you think for a moment that you're watching the same old decoyed revenge drama, but Mr. Dulal Guha had other plans.

Hema Malini ji as Radha Thakur, the feisty village girl, plays a perfect foil to Dharam ji's antics.

She does full justice to the role she was offered.

Her role as Basantine Sholay, which was released in the same year, had much more meat in it and also had many more comedic elements.

But the script of Pratigya doesn't allow her to focus on that aspect as much.

So I would sit on like the Jai Veeru.

Like Sholay.
