And then we've got an amazing supporting cast featuring the wonderful Patterson Joseph, Heather Graham and Patricia Arquette all of whom are certainly no strangers to the horror genre.

So with a cast like this then, what could possibly go wrong? well quite frankly and unlike squirm absolutely nothing so spoiler alert i absolutely love this film from start to finish it's well directed it's well acted it's got a great soundtrack it's ridiculously entertaining and it just flies by and it's ultra gory there's what's not to like you can compare this film to so many things that have come before it You can draw comparisons with the lone wolf and cub baby cart at the River Styx series which was later edited down into the Roger Corman classic Shogun Assassin.

Throw in a healthy dose of Kill Bill, add some of the martial arts action from The Raid and you'll come somewhere close to They Will Kill You, and that's quite a combination.

The film uses a mixture of wire work, incredibly fast paced action, practical effects and CGI which gives the whole thing an almost manga like quality in its execution.

It was a bad time for the empire.

Shogun Assassin is known as just like a fucking classic.

And it's not on there.

So, you know, these things happen.
