Dan RyanHOST

And all the weird...
Dan RyanHOST
20:44
Like, the double jump is very similar to the timing of, like, the Shinobi jump, where you have to hit X again, or A, whatever, B, whatever the fuck it was on the controller.
Dan RyanHOST
21:00
Um... right before you like hit the peak of your jump to do like this.
Dan RyanHOST
21:08
So there's kind of like a weird timing bit to it.
Dan RyanHOST
21:14
Like eventually you get used to it.
Dan RyanHOST
21:16
Right.
Dan RyanHOST
21:16
Like, and if you've played the Shinobi games, it's like, Oh, this is, this is kind of like, you know, similar to that.
Dan RyanHOST
21:21
So there's a somewhat of a level of comfortability, but all of that other like complicated stuff just kind really feels over-designed.
Haley LeeHOST
5:25
Mm-hmm.
Vonzell CarterHOST
5:26
And then on the flip side of that, Shinobi.
Haley LeeHOST
5:30
Oh, okay.
Haley LeeHOST
5:32
Now, it look, a lot of people say those are two very, very similar games, but-
JeffHOST
50:15
Yeah, because, like, we got frickin' Ninja Gaiden, Ragebound.
JeffHOST
50:20
We got Shinobi.
JeffHOST
50:22
We got, like, you know what I mean? Like, we're getting some classic franchises revitalized in modern times.
JeffHOST
50:30
And they're being done with respect, which is what I like.
JeffHOST
53:01
And we are like absolutely in a cool revitalization renaissance of indie games and retro IPs.
Xander ScullionHOST
53:10
Yeah, no, I agree.
Xander ScullionHOST
53:12
Like, I love Ninja Gaiden, Ragebound, the last Shinobi game that came out.
Xander ScullionHOST
53:18
I can't remember the subtitle to it, but that was a lot of fun.

31:24
Fantasy Zone and...
DavidPANELIST
31:27
Space Harrier like they were meant to be in the same world and even like Sonic Team with Christmas Nights and the Dreams there was they threw in Sonic briefly wasn't there also an initiative where they wanted I think it was Sega of Australia and they wanted to make a bunch of games that were all in the same universe or like they wanted to make the Golden Axe tie into Shinobi tie into this and that although it didn't end up happening because the whole thing got shut down But there's always been that desire that Sega wants these games to be in a shared universe, even if not all the games can work as one.
DavidPANELIST
32:06
I'd
GrantHOST
32:07
start with Sonic himself.
Jim TrincaGUEST
2:12
Yeah, one of those moms.
Jim TrincaGUEST
2:13
So I just had to, like, you know, I had Shinobi, I had Mega Games 2, you know, just a [censored] collection of what I would consider now to be terrible games.
Dave BulmerHOST
2:22
Wait, wasn't Mega Games 2 the good one with Streets of Rage?
Jim TrincaGUEST
2:25
[laughs] Yeah.
Jim TrincaGUEST
5:16
'Cause it does say on the cover UK's official Sega comic.
Chris McFeelyHOST
5:19
Yeah.
Dave BulmerHOST
5:19
Yeah, it used to have, 'cause it had a comic of flipping Shinobi and Streets of Rage and all of this stuff.
Chris McFeelyHOST
5:23
Streets of Rage, Decap Attack, Golden Axe, and Sparkster, and-
Scott ReimanHOST
21:10
Now he needs to fix it.
Scott ReimanHOST
21:12
Da Black Shinobi had too much hope, and now he's just burnt out.
Scott ReimanHOST
21:18
I get it, Shinobi.
Scott ReimanHOST
21:20
Man, Shinobi.
Scott ReimanHOST
21:21
That was a great arcade game.
Scott ReimanHOST
21:23
You guys remember that one with the throwing stars? That was classic.
Scott ReimanHOST
21:48
But maybe some Broncos fans are panicking, but I guarantee you many are putting that game behind them and looking forward.
Scott ReimanHOST
21:56
We need to do the same.
