Shepparton Football Club

The GBL Grand Final.

Obviously, lots of football and netball played over the weekend, but the main one was on Sunday for the seniors, football men's teams, and that was Echuca versus Shepparton Bears, and Echuca came out on top of that one.

So they've I think that takes their tally to four premierships in five years.

Or it might be three and four.

I might be wrong there, but it's a lot.

So congratulations to Shepparton, sorry, to the Echuca Murray Bombers and commiserations to the Shepparton Bears Football Club.

And also, Craig, moving right along, we've got an interesting article today about a local man, Jason Marr, who's single-handedly been scouring the Goulburn River, removing rubbish from the waterway.

He's been doing this for, I believe, 20 years.

It looks to be a forlorn hope for Shep, but what I will say, they are on their home deck and they do have some quality players like Anthony Anchanarco, in the reserves that we think he will end up playing reserves on Sunday.

But obviously, when you look at the margins, of course, at the Kyrek a couple of weeks ago, Achika by 72 points and back in round eight by 68 points, it does look the job ahead for the Shepparton Bears.

Yeah, well, it was commiserations again to another unit that has been a superpower in the GVL over a long period of time, and that is the Kai Footy Club.

I don't think that they lost any fans last week, Kai Abram, when they went out in the fashion that they did against Shepparton.

winner.

Community Club, the Shepparton FC, the McGarry medalist, Nick Roker.

Canter Nord in 2020.

He's won a McGarry.

So we're nearly there.

And we've got this text in from Tim who says, next year's potential number one draft pick Cody Walker will line up for the Echuca Bombers in the GVL Grand Final this Sunday in Shepparton versus the Shepparton Bears.

Let's go Echuca.

If you've got a storyline that you think is newsworthy, deserves broader coverage, we want to hear it.
