Shem

Now, there's a table of nations in the Bible.

The Creator separated the different nations, and he said in Genesis 10.1, Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

And unto them were sons born after the flood.

which, by the way, is in our genetics, again, if you missed that from before.

You're looking at him.

If he knows how to be Shem in his gulf, then...

So there's a certain... that you make, whether you have to tell him you're being misbidden in him or not, I don't think it makes a difference.

And there, the word is, he can be a cotton.

Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations and Noah walked with God.

Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

God looked upon the earth, and behold, it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth." God said unto Noah, the end of all flesh is come before me, for the earth is filled with violence through them, and behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

Hebrews 11, 4, By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house, by the which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

1 Peter 3, 20, Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah while the ark was preparing, wherein few, that is eight souls, were saved by water.

Can you see them there? Shem and his wife, Mrs.

Shem.

Verse 1.

Make thee an ark of gopher wood.

In fact, the root word, interestingly, is translated raging of the water, Luke 8, 24, and the wave of the sea, James 1, verse 6.

By the way, it's very interesting.

It says there in verse 10, "...and Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth." They were the only survivors of the flood with their wives and with Noah and his wife, of course.

Since they were the only survivors of the flood and the post-flood world was propagated by these three sons of Noah, we shouldn't be surprised that there are literally thousands of flood stories embedded in cultures all over the world.

And the rain was upon the earth 40 days and 40 nights.

In the self-same day entered Noah and Shem and Ham and Japheth, the sons of Noah and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them into the ark." Verse 2.

And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him, and the Lord shut him in.

And the flood was forty days upon the earth, and the waters increased and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.

And eventually, furthermore, in verse 38, you see a whole rendition of different Jewish communities.

You can also lawfully and accurately speak, for example, of the race of men descended from Abraham.

You could say the race of men descended from Shem, Ham, or Japheth.

And in that way, it would be like, you know, I just had a trip to Bear Lake with the family.

And it was my family, but then also a lot of my extended family.
