Shelly Berg

I'm not saying that musical theater people are robots, but there's so much structure.

So I led my early jazz rehearsals with people like Alan Pasqua and other people like that, Shelly Berg and all the great people.

I worked with John Otto, one of my first musical directors.

I led all the rehearsals with total obedience, singing the song really square, and having Michelle and other people early in my career saying, no, Melissa, stop it.
