But when you really take a step back, I found some good information on cleanview.co. It's just some interesting numbers on just how many data centers are in the pipeline.

It says that right now construction is underway on 539 data centers on 255 campuses in the U.S., Colleen says that the largest ones under construction right now are the MetaHypernium Data Center in Richland Parish, Louisiana, the Nexus Hubbard Data Center in Hill County, Texas, and the Colossus2 Data Center in Shelby County, Tennessee.

That 539 number checks out.

I was at, when I was at NECA a couple of weeks back, one good seminar that I went to, the speakers from Graybar said that they had seen, or were using data that there were over 500 data centers under construction right now.

And now Elon has 59 gas turbines across the border in North Mississippi, and all the pollution, 73% of the pollution is blowing right into Memphis and Shelby County.

And so I'm glad that he's going to finally be on here, because you should ask him about that.

So I hope that she still talks to me after the show is over tonight because I put her birthday out there, but that's okay.

uh so uh let me see here uh no birthday let's do some news and notes so we can get into the broadcast i see rhonda is already logged in up there that's a good thing uh so we'll get to her a little bit earlier uh not only is the city council dealing with how to figure out this moratorium they passed an ordinance last week uh for 135 days of a pause we'll find out what that's all about as well but this afternoon the county Shelby County commissioners are taking up this issue as well in the unincorporated parts of Shelby County for possibly up to a year.

I was listening to some of that conversation on my way down here and they have deferred it.

to their next committee meeting on the 18th.

So, yeah, everybody's trying to figure out what to do in terms of these data centers and moratoriums and the like.

The County Commission also is looking to try to pull themselves from a lawsuit, a joint lawsuit that they entered into with the Memphis and Shelby County School Board about the possible takeover of the oversight board.

And they want to remove themselves from that lawsuit.

I don't know how popular that move is.

According to the Nashville Scene, which broke the story, Taylor sent nude photos as recently as 2021, when he was in his early 50s.

The Shelby County Clerk's Office is tweaking its hours to open later and close earlier.

All locations will now be open from 8.30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, rather than 8 a.m. to 4.15 p.m. Shelby County Clerk Lasanya Hall says the new hours give workers more time to prep in the morning and wrap up in the evening.

Also, in-person vehicle registration will be paused one day a month so workers can continue to work on the backlog left by former clerk Wanda Halbert.
