Shehakol

Famously, if you make a shaakol over anything, you have fulfilled your obligation.

Even over bread and wine, which is why If we're unsure, often people say to make a Shehakol.

If a person takes some sort of beer in their hand, a cup of beer, and the person makes a mistake and they start to say Borei Prehagafen, but they meant to say Shehakol, we don't make them do it again.

וכן אם היו לפניו פירות הארץ והתחילה ברכה בנת לומר בורי פרי האדמה ותאה ואמר בורי פרי העץ אין מחזירי נותו similarly if someone has fruit in front of them and they start to say בורי פרי האדמה but instead they make a mistake and say העץ so we don't make them repeat it וכן אם היה לפניו תבשיל של דגן ופתח על מנת לומר בורי מלאמזונות ותאה ואמר המוציא יצא If someone has some sort of dish of grain before the person, and they make a bracha, and they want to say, and they make a mistake, and they say, they fulfill the obligation.

Because at the time when we say Hashem's name in the bracha, which is the main focus of a bracha, it's the main part, The person had the intention of making the right bracha.

What's, what's, what's Bir-- Why do we say Birchas HaTorah? Why, why, why do we say Birchas HaTorah? I know this is too early for interactive, right? Right, right.

So again, we say Birchas HaTorah because again, like anything else, before I have a cup of coffee, I have to say Shehakol Nihiyah Bidvaro, right, to recognize that it belongs to HaKadosh Baruch Hu.

Whereas a person who realizes there's the eating and there's the making the Bracha.

I once mentioned, I think it's the first Karliner Rebbe who once told one of his Hasidim when the Hasid said, "I've-- our eating is pretty similar, the eating of the Hasid and the Rebbe." So the Rebbe said, "Yeah, it's pretty similar.

It's a bracha.

Oh, so gratitude is our way of saying, um, I'm pay [laughs] I'm paying my bill for this particular cup of coffee, Shehakol.
