A deeply disturbing investigation underway near Sheepshead Bay.

A woman's body discovered inside a trash can.

Yeah, that grim discovery, Sade and Mike, was this afternoon in this parking lot right here behind me.

This is along the Belt Parkway in Sheepshead Bay, and this parking lot was full of detectives all evening trying to determine how a body ended up in a garbage can.

Tonight, we could see police going through that trash can and gathering evidence.

This was a trash can much smaller than most people, so it is hard to imagine that what they found was well concealed.

The NYPD hasn't put out any information or description of the woman as of yet, like her age or any identifying information.

We just know she was an adult, so they may still need to make a positive ID to determine who she was.

This parking lot along the Belt Parkway is for visitors of Plum Beach, which is a Small Sandy Peninsula off Sheepshead Bay, just south of Gerritsen Beach.

We spoke with people here tonight out for a run or a walk.

An investigation now underway after police received a call saying the body of a woman had been found inside a trash can in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn.

The parking lot here in Plum Beach has turned into a crime scene.

Police say a woman's body was found in the trash can just feet away from the beach.

Detectives are continuing to investigate.

They've closed up a portion of Plum Beach here as they look for more details into this case.

Another slashing inside a subway station.

On a cold blustery morning, January 18, 1983, a businessman called the police once again to report a maroon Cadillac that had been left in the parking lot of the Varness Boat Club in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, New York.

It had been there for over a week.

Clearly, it was abandoned.

Roy took off his leather jacket, and Nino fired at his head.

He was hit seven times, including the symbolic bullets that the twins put into his skull, behind the ears.

Then they put him into the trunk of his car, placed the chandelier over him that he was taking to get repaired, and parked him at the club in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn.

The government had lost Roy DeMeo as a witness, but they had not lost Nino or Paul.

They continued to look for evidence against these men.

They've closed off a portion of Plum Beach here as they look for more details into this case.

In other news, two more cases of Legionnaire's disease now detected in the South Bronx, bringing the total case count in the current outbreak to 13.

The health department says of those, two people remain hospitalized and nine have been discharged.

And only time will tell if that ends up being the case.
