yeah if he stays he doesn't want to stay right the team wants to keep him because they know they're not going to get equal value for him there's no chance you win that trade right but there's no chance he can come into this season into that dressing room as the captain you know who should be the new captain of this team mo cider because of the age difference all of those things with the younger group that are that's coming up it should be mo cider one of the best defensemen in the entire national hockey league a lot of people don't talk about probably the top five defensemen in the national hockey league at this point this guy cannot come into this season as the captain of this team i'm sorry and it's just my opinion and i know a lot of people share the same opinion some people are on the other side of things this does not read like conor hellebuck this does not read like brady kachuk brady kachuk came in front of the media and said you know what guys kill all of that noise i want to be here and then the senators organization realized we have to make a move here because this is too much of a distraction to everybody in the room and conor hellebutt kept things very quiet in hopes that the winnipeg jets could get equal value for him something that is worth their while to make a trade there keep it quiet and save face for everyone dylan larkin didn't do that in fact mosider had an interview a couple weeks ago where he said that it actually came as a surprise they weren't necessarily expecting it some of the players again that's just from him and his point of view but that is what was revealed And then you come into this offseason with the trade request publicly made through Elliott Friedman earlier this offseason.
