Shay Gibbons

Uh, Pats only need a point from, in fact, their final two games.

Uh, they go down to Limerick to the Markets Field, win 3-2, a Gibbons hat-trick to win the title.

So a title win the inaugural season, beating off the, uh, Shelbourne and Sligo Rovers competition.

Would there have been a, a big crowd down at, at Markets Field for that one from Pats?

Pats win 10-3.

It's a record win in League of Ireland football even still.

Shay Gibbons absolutely on fire.

Um, so, uh, meanwhile, uh, up the road, uh, Shels are beaten 6-1 by Waterford.
