I actually was able to build an e-learning course, a similar experience to what you might have seen in a solution like Arise.

in a SCORM format that had multiple choice knowledge check questions and flashcards that you could click on and various interactive features to try to take it to the next level.

I'm going to pause there because I know I've been talking a little bit.

David, do you have any questions before I talk a little bit more about how I got to build the AI solution? Because I think first it's probably good to just talk about what the solution was.

So that's on the AI front.

And then from the learner side, I already touched on this earlier, is that I met with the interns about two months after they went through the course.

And in particular, they found a lot of enjoyment in those case study courses in the SCORM format that we produced.

So that was the biggest takeaway is they wanted more of that applying industry knowledge in a proprietary sense course.

And that's where Addy came up.

Actually, SCORM comes from the U.S. Army also because they were figuring out ways to package training in a digital format.

So they developed SCORM,

at least the original

version of SCORM.

Right.

Yeah.

I mean, a lot of people coming in to the industry, I talk about, you know, the pieces of the learning pie, right? Like, did you come in because you are into learning and teaching? Did you come into it from the creative bits? Because you're a graphic artist, you were good at PowerPoint, you're a good writer.

Did you come into it from the technology angle, you know, LMS, SCORM, XAPI, playing with JavaScript, or is it the business piece of the pie? And most people came into it through learning and creativity, right? That's how most of us landed here.

I liked the writing, video production, all that kind of stuff.

Playing with the tools.

So do you think that's coming or do you think they're just barriers that because having the tool but not having the experience and not having the training doesn't mean because you've got a tool that enables you to do it doesn't mean you're going to do it very well, does it? Well,

you mentioned SCORM there and, you know, it's interesting.

You go to SCORM.com, you do some research and like the latest version of SCORM is 2004, right? And you go, well, that's ancient.

Like in terms of IT, that's ancient.

But in terms of L&D, you know, the learning and development community, they revere that SCORM as if it is, you know, the be all end all of love learning, right? Now, for people that are in our side of the industry, you know, we can look at, you know, course builders and tools like LearnDash and Lifter LMS and say, well, that's adequate.

But we can always add, you know, interactivity and depth to the training, like when we use tools like H5P, for example.

Right.

And it does really great things.

Let's get into the technical side.

I know iOS nodes are very familiar with SCORM.

It is the absolute bedrock standard that allows for the creation of eye-catching, highly interactive learning materials.

You build a course in an authoring tool, pack it up, and trust it will run flawlessly in a SCORM-compliant LMS.

Exactly.

SCORM is foundational for structural interoperability.

But XAPI is the real, undeniable game-changer for modern mobile and informal learning.

XAPI tracks a learner's progress across multiple different applications and separate management systems.
