Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

ramatut and old america chavez yeah ramatut would be a fun one right like random stuff uh would would be a fun augment like give you give your card ramatut's ability uh you know something like that yeah i can see that being fun uh and old chavez wow you're talking about the um the the the big powered one uh or the high power one that we had at the very beginning of the game that everybody used to play um james mccall says i have also been seeing a lot of gambit horsemen of death i think it should be banned too well now it's nerfed so hopefully that will go away uh losing a game because your deck is built around small cards feels super punishing and then christian lazaro says i only get control swarm and move i rarely get a destroy deck control was horrible You would think that that would be good.

Now, I will tell you, the one card that is great in that is Shang-Chi because nobody is expecting it.

And if you could, I think there was an augment that you can get him to do that twice.

I got that.

So I got that.

Oh, he did Shang Chi.

Good Lord.

He did Shang-Chi as well, which also had a lot of practical effects and strong choreography, which is what made it really great.

And so, yeah, they brought him back for this.

And again, I'm like, he nails it.

But at the same time, I really love the story.

And I like the use of this magic, you know, like with Shang-Chi and everything else, this other side of Marvel that I crave.

I crave more of this magical side.

And I like that they're mixing everything together.

A lot of people were like, okay, I'm done with it.

You know, I think that something like X-Men maybe could have reignited people's interest in it.

Especially given, you know, like Shang-Chi was a good movie, but it came out in COVID and it was hurt by that.

And it's also just not, it's a really good movie, but he's not a known property.

yeah oh my god yeah so we like i already said when i do get it like all right so john you're in the calendar so you understand but we i was able to map out all the way not map out but schedule out all of our shows with that bringing us right up to the tuesday before doomsday is released right um And it works out.

It actually, it almost didn't if we waited any longer because we'll be able to do X-Men, then the following week, X2, and then we're going to double up on Loki and Shang-Chi because we only have 14 weeks in this 15 movies.

Well, and we watch it, like

when we get to Loki, are we talking about two seasons of Loki? Yeah, so I guess we'll have to discuss that as we go along.

Yeah, total film.

And so, yeah, we got X-Men, X2, Captain America, and we'll do these right in order.

The only ones we're doubling up is the Loki and Shang-Chi.

And it brings us, you know, the Tuesday before the movie's release.

worked back in 1946 it's going to work now

because of it being a couple years since that last one I think for most people though who weren't super into the movies and don't think about the story to that level I think it was just the draw of Spider-Man Spider-Man is the one the whole success of the earlier Marvel movies is that you knew all those heroes you knew the actors that were doing them you were attached to them in some way I don't think that Fantastic Four or you know Shang-Chi or any of these other characters have that same broad appeal right Spider-Man's the one that's going to do it yeah

Yeah, this is a good time for me to say, even though I may sound like I'm disagreeing with you, I actually am not.

Spider-Man, I think I've realized now over maybe Superman or even Batman is the most popular superhero in America and probably the world.

The story of how he got this movie is kind of interesting.

So he did Shang-Chi, and Marvel was really, really happy with how Shang-Chi came out.

As they should be, it's fucking great.

Actually, it's great.
