Now, the aim of them, of course, to reduce further avoidable head impacts and concussion risk, while also letting everyone appre- apre- prepare appropriately for the season, because that's the delicate balance there as well.

So this has happened after a, uh, Victorian coroner's investigation into the death of former AFL player Shane Tuck, and that's basically been the reason for these new contact training limits to be introduced.

So I'm working on a story now which will reveal the contact limits for clubs in the upcoming pre-season.

So, um, the AFL has spent two years collecting mountains of data, Kane and Kingy, uh, from clubs, which follows the passing of Shane Tuck and his, uh, diagnosis of CTE from 2020, and then the Victorian coroner's report that recommended to the AFL, essentially told the AFL they need to do more around concussion.

So I'm told there's gonna be four key periods here in every pre-season, Kingy and Kane.

So there'll be a, a, a pre-Christmas, a post-Christmas, then one through January, then one, um, closer to the season, where the density of training, that is the level of contact drills or the high level of contact drills, um, incrementally increases the closer you get to round one, and it will be a s- the same across the entire season.

If they are going to play him, play him where he's poor disposal.

What we used to do, which Hardwick did really well, when we had Shane, not Hardwick, sorry, when we had Shane Tuck, when we had Tim and Dale, North, he was really good.

He knew where to put them.

Okay, they're going to hack blast Campbell.

It's death by suicide because they've got CTE and they've got the horrible impacts of that.

You look at Shane Tuck, Danny Frawley, those kind of guys.

I know there's been a lot of NRL players as well.

I'm not an NRL guy, but I know that there's a lot of, I don't know the names, but there's a lot of guys that have done it.

So previously, the previous highest was Tucky, the late, great Shane Tuck, who had 23 against Carlton in Round 21, 2012.

Tucky was a good player, wasn't he? He figured prominently in these contested possessions list.

And Dion Presti had 23 against Port in Round 11, 2022 at Adelaide Oval.
