Shane Thorne

Sure.

It was, it was a matter of time before, you know, we get, uh, Shane Haste here, uh, in the Philippines.

So I'm excited for this, definitely.

I mean, super excited.

Let's hear from Babyface, Baby Dol, Rohan.

[upbeat music]

This is the 50th GHC Heavyweight Champion, Shane Haste, and you're watching and listening to the Wrestling Wrestling Podcast.

All right.

So let's talk about, uh, some of that stuff.

So Shane Haste, the White Raven Squad, Shane Haste, Kenta, and Tetsuya Endo, they defeat Manabu Soya, and Yuki Ihno, and, uh, Tsuji Kondo.

But the big news is obviously with the, uh, Soya/Ihno team on the opposite side, the tag champs, Haste challenges them on the mic for the tag team belts, and Kenta is like, "Oh, well, all right.

We're, we're gonna be going." [laughs]

Yeah.

[laughs]

And he's, like, looking at Endo, and Endo's, like, shrugging his shoulders like, "I guess he doesn't wanna team with us." So, uh, he's bringing Mikey Nichols back and, uh, listen, Shane Haste has been completely reinvigorated and feels motivated again working in pro wrestling Noah.

This is a guy who was never getting pushed in New Japan.

It was not good.

But Naito has been better since the Shane Haste match up from what I've heard.

I haven't watched, uh, any of the N1, but from what I heard, he's been, uh, better, better performing since the Shane, since winning the GAC Heavyweight Championship from Shane Haste.

But, uh, yeah, I-

Shane, Shane blessed Naito.

Two big things happened.

First off, Shane Haste has challenged for the GHC Tag Team Championships with his partner, Not the White Raven Squad's Kenta.

Not Tetsuya Endo.

But Mikey Nichols is going to be returning.

Did she? Yeah.

Oh.

cool so shane haste uh gary albright is he's gonna be

there didn't he die

Yeah.

We then had the White Raven Squad Akenta, Shane Haste, and Endo defeat Passionate Rattles and Shuji Kondo.

Kondo feels like he's got the Joneses too.

He doesn't got the hair, but he feels like he fits in.

Shane Haste won and then he said he was going to challenge for the tag titles and he said his partner is going to be Mikey Nichols TMDK back in full force in NOAH oy Mikey

Nichols

Kenta and Endo were like what

Kenny and the Bucks against Jericho Santana-Ortiz, 3.75 stars.

And Johnny Gargano against Shane Thorne, 3.25 stars.

So Cullen Riddle received the highest rating of any match from the Wrestling Observer.

but again, there's more to that.

We get some reps and producers.

We got D Malenko siding here.

separates them it's another commercial break the bucks and kenny omega are shown warming up backstage while jericho is shown talking with ortiz and santana jericho then declares tonight is the most important night in pro wrestling history it is an important night jericho absolutely correct flipping over to usa we got johnny gargano versus shane thorne so gargano makes his way out to the ring followed by shane thorne i can't help but think as we're recording here in october 2026 how important johnny gargano has become like he's on he's in the wb championship picture now and would have had that on their bingo card i know johnny gargano is such a big part of nxt takeovers but we thought that's where uh most of his importance would end but it seems like johnny gargano is getting uh maybe a little bit of a renaissance run here you can see why gargano at this time i know it gets lost in sort of the in-ring stuff we see all over the place but johnny gargano was giving us match quality all over the place those five-star matches the nxt takeover the matches against champa match against Adam Cole.

I mean, every match that Gargano stepped his foot in, he was Mr.

Now, he lost the title.

Shane Haste got it.

Shane Haste lost to Tetsuya Naito, who's now a freelancer.

Los Tranquilos del Japón.

Where's Boris? Boris, he's negotiating right out there on the UN Language Council for the Spanish contingency.

Like I loved Noah back in the Kobashi days and the Masawa days and they were number one.

you know tokyo dome after the big all japan exodus they they were number one for a long time and they currently are not but you can get there by watching noah you should definitely watch noah the n1 was great this year and naito not being in it was fine you know winning the title Ozawa got the title.

It eventually got down to Shane Haste became champion.
