Shane Hanchey

Look in the show notes and you can see how you can follow him online and on social and all the, all the things and all the places, um, have a little bit different show for you today.

Uh, Shane Hanchey is on with us today and he's a 17 time Wrangler national finals, rodeo tie down roping qualifier.

And, uh, he trains a lot of tie down horses.

He's got the horse of the year in his trailer right now.

And I'll introduce you to her soon.

But I want to visit with you really quickly about a vegan running to represent one of the largest ag-producing counties in the nation.

And then I want to talk about tie-down roping and boiled shrimp with Shane Hanchey.

But first...

He's the 2013 world champion tie down roper.

He's also the owner of Bo's Boilingo, and he's the man behind the Shane Hanchey Invitational.

So, Shane Hanchey, thank you for joining us, man.

We appreciate your time.

How's it going this evening? Everything going good?

We got the chutes over there.

We got the boxes in today.

So, we're turning the Giddings Arena into the Shane Hanchey Invitational and, yeah, hoping for a good turnout Sunday.

And you know the young man that's staring at you.

His name is Shane Hanchey.

He's a world champion.

He's a four-time Canadian champion.

That's been something that, I mean, talk about a string.

That's been something that you've been doing for, are you 20 years on this roping yet?

I think this is 19, but yeah, I started it my sophomore year of high school, Shane Hanchey Invitational, and it's grown into something awesome.

I mean, not only the payout and the ropers, the quality of ropers, the prizes, everything that comes along with it, the great sponsors that help us.
