Shady Grove

To my ears, it's evident of you growing up in Atlanta because you can hear hip hop, you can hear blues, you can hear jazz, you can hear the streets right beside the banjo and the fiddle, and I'd love to hear your ren- your rendition of one of the more well-known courting songs established here in Appalachia.

Um, it has ties, uh, to songs that traveled here from across Atlantic, but would you pr- play Shady Grove for us?

I'd love to.

Hang tight here.

[applause] Shady Grove, my little love.

Shady Grove, my darling.

Shady Grove, my little love.

I'm going back to Harlan.
