Shadows of the Dying Sun

But we want it to be like that because it was based on my short story, which was a very dark and tragic, so it had to sound like that.

But with this, um, this album, we kind of went back to maybe more classic Insomnium sound of Heart Like a Grave or Shadows of the Dying Sun era.

And we didn't l- kind of limit our creative creativity before we started.

We just, "Let's make songs, as good song as possible, good Insomnium songs."

Well, so okay, so, um, Insomnium, uh, that's what we're talking about, and I wanted to tell you that I don't think that I really became aware of and into Insomnium until the Shadows of the Dying Sun album, which I know is several into your career, right?

Mm-hmm.

Um, so I'm just curious, because where I came in, where do you find most of your fan base discovered Insomnium? Where along your career, your album arc?

There, there are no huge spikes and no, no downfall [laughs] either.

So I think we've accumulated the fans during the, all these years, so.

But like While the Weeping World, which was our third al- album, and then Shadows of the Dying Sun, which was, uh, number six I think, those were the o- ones that it kind of jumped a little bit.

Yeah.
