We have a big, big weekend of Sydney shows at the Seymour Centre.

tomorrow.

And then I conceived of the idea to write an entirely fictional play with only two actors and a premise that means the work is categorised as a nuclear power rom-com.

In March 2025, Griffin Theatre Company produced a critically acclaimed four-week season at the Seymour Centre of my play, Nucleus.

That this play made it to the Sydney stage is the kind of casual miracle that those who work in the arts will understand the precarity and sweetness of.

It could not have happened without those librarians who went out of their way to collect a local newsletter whose historical archive is not online and that is likely held in no other place in the world.

here's the thing.

We're going to be on at the Seymour Centre doing like a fully staged presentation of it.

It was something crazy like four to eight months, somewhere in that sort of category.

So I was like, okay, I'm going to need the script yesterday.

I'm not sure.

It is such a unique space.
