N.O.R.E. is facing sexual assault allegations.

Uh, they were filed by Carmen Bryan, who is, um, there you go, who is the mother of Nas' daughter.

Oh, it's Carmen.

Tens of millions of Americans use rideshare services like Uber and Lyft each year, making passenger safety a huge public concern.

In 2014, allegations that an Uber driver sexually assaulted a passenger in Los Angeles brought increased attention to the issue of sexual assault involving rideshare trips.

The case also raised questions about rideshare companies' driver screening processes and potential liability when a driver is accused of harming a passenger.

In a 2016 Los Angeles Times article regarding the case, attorney Antonio Castillo III was quoted saying, "Right now, their background check largely consists of an online application with no fingerprinting and no in-person interview.

Uber released its first US safety report in 2019, covering incidents reported in 2017 and 2018.

Lyft released its first community safety report in 2021, covering the years 2017 to 2019.

Those initial reports and the reports that followed provided a disturbing look at the number of sexual assaults reported in connection with rideshare trips.

Lyft's first safety report documented 4,158 reports of sexual assault from 2017 through 2019, including more than 360 reports of rape.

For many college students either arriving on campus for the first time or returning for their fall semester, this is a time marked by new experiences, blossoming friendships, and greater independence, but it's also a time of heightened risk for sexual violence.

13% of all undergraduate students say they have experienced sexual assault, including rape on college campuses.

That's according to a 2019 survey by the Association of American Universities.

That's about one in four women, one in two transgender individuals, and one in 14 men based on the survey.

Today, we'll talk about a specific period known as the Red Zone.

This is the time from now through Thanksgiving break when more than half of sexual assaults that happen on college campuses are reported to occur.

First year and transfer students can be especially vulnerable as they navigate unfamiliar social settings and living environments, often before they've had a chance to establish a routine, build a support network, or learn where to turn for help.

So what are college campuses doing to prevent sexual assault and support students recovering from a traumatic event? And what resources are available to survivors on and off campus? Joining me to answer these questions today, we have Denisha Green, Senior Director of Strategic Communications at the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center.

There have been large protests across Spain over the government's handling of the crisis with some accusing it of abandoning Ceuta.

Now the authorities in the Spanish territory say 23 cases of sexual assault have been recorded there since the mass influx of migrants but Ceuta's chief prosecutor says the real figure could be much higher.
