Severn Estuary

So it's on the top of the Bristol Channel.

And Severn Estuary has the second biggest tides in the world.

They're not quite as big as all the way up the top, but they're very large.

I mean, the waters, where we came from, it's not very deep, the Severn Estuary.

You have to

understand, this podcast is all about sea stories.

But, you know, that to me felt like where the divide was.

However, when I started looking into this, it turns out that a lot of the academic research puts it way further down, starting over on the west in the Severn Estuary, which to me is so far south, and then coming all the way across to the Wash in the east.

That was a surprise to me.

So this is placing Gloucester in the north? Yes.
