Session musician

They have one producer they could get.

No, I started as a session musician.

I got called in that night.

It's Nadi Lafon.

I came down to the studio for a meeting.

And they explained to me the album they wanted to complete.

So the same coo-wee-coo-hoo was the first thing I ever got as a paid session musician.

And I left the studio the next morning at seven o'clock with the album complete.

Yeah.

So we're kind of, yeah, sort of pinnacle as a session musician, playing with the guys, sold out the O2 Arena, number one album.

And I'm playing this hit song, Written in the Stars.

It's you.

Mm-hmm

... doing tons of, of, of session work and all these, you're keeping yourself very busy.

Why don't you connect the dots for that? I know that you mentioned you had the M38, um-

So who were the musicians? Who actually performed all these iconic, great songs? Well, Wes Farrell was the producer.

A lot of the early musicians were studio, professional studio musicians.

They were collectively known as the Wrecking Crew.

They played on so many hit records during this time.
