Sesshin

What would you like to do? I want you, when you see it, I'm gonna go quickly to the other story.

But that, the question, are you in? Are you in? So Yahya is telling you, are you really fully arriving in Sesshin while still having that plan in mind? Or are you still holding the argument that you had with your wife? Are you still carrying that regret with you? Whatever it is, it's part, it's part It's part of that cave, the Hermit Monk City.

To finish, another story.

So include yourself as a resident.

So to start this orientation before I go quickly into the structure of these three weeks, And I will remember this morning in the seminar when my Korean teacher used to tell those in Sesshin, so be a monk or be a monastic for seven days.

So here is the invitation for you to be a monastic for three weeks.

in this practice period really had this renunciation.

And so next week, our shuso Kyosen will give a much less chaotic talk and bring fewer books with him.

And then we will be in Sesshin the week after.

And then Kyosen will give another talk.

And then we will have a way seeking mind talk.

And I hope those of you s- who are in the Worcester area will join Michael and me for a, a beautiful walk through our own, uh, Worcester hills and along our own Worcester streams and ponds.

Uh, a walk that, that I really have come to cherish because I take parts of it, uh, whenever we have Sesshin.

I, I do the first part of it every day that I can, which is pretty much every day, and definitely every day when we have our summer residency.

One of the attractions for me of the residency is that there's time to take a nice long walk through the woods and, and, uh, past Donker Farm and around the pond and, and, uh, just get a taste of the Cascades before turning around and coming back for more zazen.
