Sergio Reguilón

So this is going on for... 8 years now apparently Luke Shaw is the only player in Manchester that can they've had lads come in

like Sergio Reguilon and Alex Tellez and they're in they're

out so what I can't seem to understand is they can't they have not had this ability to bring a young player through or to kind of at least understand they have a huge sorry huge shortage in that position and just bring them through and there's been no attempt by the club to do that at all From what I can see.

Except for the few minutes here and there

If not the exact.

Yeah, I think, you know, because I assume Reguilon is going to be the left back at Miami.

And I don't think he's been subbed off a ton.

And he's not a young guy at this point in his career.

It was just like, no, we can play through their midfield at pace, and then we'll get Cowell on the side of the box, or Ruvalcaba on the other side.

I mean, it was usually Cowell, because Reguilon is terrible.

So, you know, it was so simple, and it's like, okay, if you're trying to get into the playoffs, that's probably the right choice for... for the Red Bulls right now?

So in this Eastern Conference group, Cincinnati, they beat D.C. United for the second time this week on Saturday.

We knew that Messi would come on early in the second half, which he did.

And we'll talk about Reguilón in a little bit.

But yeah, that was the lineup.

And for all intents and purposes, the Red Bulls dominated that game.

Oh, he was awful.

There was that one ball.

Who was it? Was it Reguilón? Somebody crossed it to him, and I don't know if he was expecting Lujan to be behind him, and he sees the ball go by him, and he sees that Lujan isn't there.

He's like, oh, well.

Some real praise, I think, from a lot of people, including me, for Gonzalo Lujan's play at right back.

Sergio Reguilón has found a little bit of footing in the left side.

The midfield is interesting.

David Jala has been had his clearly his best run of at inner Miami and the team is winning games, which is not something we could say for quite some time.

It does make it more comfortable for your fullbacks to get higher up the field on both sides.

Now, have the fullbacks always rewarded that with good play? No, but during this three-game stretch, we did see it a little bit.

I thought that second game against NYCFC, the two fullbacks were awesome, both Lujan and Sergio Reguilón.

And that, I think, has been a big part of it.

And it's set up for failure for, like, as you said, a manager's experience as Antonio Conte will walk into that and will spontaneously combust from having to work with Jason Wilcox.

And then, you know, saying he wants 300 million spent last summer, next summer, and then ending up getting Sergio Reguilon in as a left back.

Do you know what I mean? Yeah.

it's just it's just unbelievable that um we're in this position again but also not unbelievable but the point i'm making within all of that within whether or not carries the right man or not how can you have confidence in the direction of board who didn't want to sack hammering but was left with no choice didn't really know to appoint anyway and appointed Carrick on the basis that they would take four months to make a decision gave him a two-year contract on the basis that they didn't make a decision and are now already in a position where they're going to sack him and they don't they still don't know what they're going to do next if they don't know and then within a week you are being asked to invest all of your belief in whoever they appoint next It's no better than anybody in the comments section making their own opinion on...

I've been impressed with how Inter-Miami has been able to – granted, it's Lionel Messi.

But I think more so than anything, the cast members of DePaul and Aishala and even the fullbacks that come forward, like Reguilon, you saw Luan come forward – I think they've done a good job of breaking down the defense and getting opportunities in the lower third and the lower block.

I do.

I mean, look at that goal against Atlanta where Suarez was able to get a foot on it and get it to the back stick and went messy to Suarez to Bertrami.

You know, if you if you can get the timing right, if you're in good form right before the playoffs, I think it works wonders for you going into the playoffs and also injuries.

I think if Inter-Miami can keep those injuries low.

Keep that consistency specifically with Reguilon.

I think what he's brought to Inter-Miami has been a bit more dynamic on that left wing.
