Sense

Our minds and our bodies are deeply connected.

When someone says, "I can't eat, I'm anxious," "When my anxiety gets bad, I feel sick to my stomach," that makes sense to me physiologically.

I've had a lot of patients over the years who they went to their primary care provider, and their primary care provider referred them to a GI or gastrointestinal because they were complaining of nausea or diarrhea or something going on with their stomach, and at the end of the day, they referred them to psychiatry.

They ended up in my office because they were having stomach issues when it was truly anxiety.

Your brain is communicating with your gut, but your gut is also sending information back and forth.

And then this brings us to another word you may not have heard before, interoception.

Interoception is essentially the way your nervous system senses, interprets, and responds to signals coming from inside your body.

And think of it as your internal sense, S-E-N-S-E.

And yeah, there's, there's another part that ties into this idea too, when you, And this, I think, won't be giving too much away in terms of the ending, but this is closer to the end when they're kind of approaching this castle in the air and trying to fulfill this quest of rescuing rhyme and reason.

They run into someone called the Senses Taker, and that's S-E-N-S-E-S, as opposed to census.
