The builders delineated in the second of these representations are expressly called Aperu, the close correspondence of the name with the designation Hebrew, even in its English form being apparent.

Though these two sets of representations date in all probability from a period later than the Exodus, they remarkably illustrate what we have read of the state and the occupations of the children of Israel during the period of their oppression.
