Selenite

Yeah, that's super cool.

The Selenite is probably, like, the most popular one.

That one just, like, blows out.

People love that one.

It has this kind of brightness.

So it's similar at, like, cleaning the auric field, but it almost has this more angelic quality where it's just, like, realigning your energy.

And I actually just put the Selenite directly in the water for that one because-

But I want to start with, let's talk about what selenite is.

And we have to begin with a little bit of bad news.

Selenite is not a valid mineral species.

In the same way that amethyst and agate and tiger's eye and jasper and emerald are not valid mineral species, it is a trade name applied to a specific varietal of another species.

And that species is gypsum.

And so I cleanse it, not because that energy is bad, but because I don't want to keep carrying it around.

So if we go back to our analogy of using selenite to cleanse other things, a task for which it is very well suited because of its ability to kind of draw things out and get them moving, it in part does this, especially if you have the satin spar variety, because it's extremely porous, just like a sponge.

So if I take some other crystal, say my opal that I talked about recently, and I leave it on my selenite overnight for cleansing, and then I pick up my opal and it feels great, Where is that energy? Where has it gone? Selenite is still holding onto it in most cases.

So think of clear quartz.

And as much as people over-populize and talk about selenite is so cleansing, it's the best crystal you could ever have.

Well, Buki, compared to Satin Spur, Selenite ain't doing shit.

Like, Selenite is very cheap.

It's, you know, overproduced and mass-produced and all that, and it's for a reason.

Like, it's okay.
