Once I found out that Edward James Olmos directed that movie and I went down this rabbit hole at a very young age about Edward James Olmos and like looking into things he had done and you know some of his other works and I was just super interested in him as a actor and director so I came across American Mean so I saw it pretty young um And I remember being fascinated by the culture and all of the lore behind the movie because when I had first seen it, I was just so taken aback because it was the first time, because I've never seen Lockdown, but this was the first time I saw a movie that I felt really just... no holds barred, gave it to you like raw about what the gang and prison culture was really like without any sugarcoating.
