I like the way he plays the character because he's never 100% purely sincere.

and he's never 100% purely calculating, or like evil, I guess is what you would say.

He's both at the same time, where I do think some of his intentions of wanting to save Lucy Gray because he cares about her are true, but it's also true that he wants to help her so he gets that money.

And I like how they straddle that line of like, oh, he could go either way as a bad guy or a good guy, but he's a... complex character and I do think Tom plays him very very well I don't know if this is controversial but Viola Davis is my favorite fucking character in this movie I love Dr. Gall dude she's so good she's awesome she's like playing it so camp and arch and I love that shit usually it doesn't work but just the way like even her fucking lab coat looks like she was dumped with blood it's so cool I love the way she looks and she commands every scene she's in peter dinklage i think is great playing tyrian lannister in the hunger games just a sad drunk guy and i like what they do with his character where in the beginning of the movie they set him up as this like antagonist like oh the dean he hates me he's not gonna let me be successful and come to find out it's because his dad had a similar falling out like i guess he and um he's But also, he's like the Sejanus side of the friendship of Snow, right? He's completely ousted, which sucks in the Capitol because it is such a social hierarchy in addition to the economics of it all.

I think that comes across clearly, but I don't feel like it's executed well.

pacing-wise, that by the time they make the plan, I'll say, like, right, they kill Mayfair and Billy, and Sejanus gets arrested and hung out in the tree, and the Jabberjays are just absolutely fucking creepy as shit, echoing everybody's- Fine, yeah, I can understand being real creeped out by the Jabberjays because that's real creepy if that's the only sound that you've ever really heard them record.
