And that is religious beliefs.

Religion, right? So this includes not only distinct religions like Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, etc., But also sects, that's S-E-C-T-S.

Not sex with an X.

Not sex, no, sex.

Well, although sex plays a big part in religion, but we're talking about different sects, S-E-C-T-S, within one religion.

For example, an obvious one in Christianity, you've got, boy, do we know a thing or two in Northern Ireland about the difference between Catholics and Protestants.

We know a lot about that.

Sounds like an anti-Christian thing right there.

Isn't that a commandment? Among all Christian sects, S-E-C-T-S.

Calm down, Huckabee.

Not S-E-X.

And today we're going to take a darker look at humanity, the dark side.

That's right, cults, or as you call them, sectas.

Now, we do say the word sect, but we use the word cult much more often.

Let's get the show on the road and take a look at our intro, which is chock full of tons of vocabulary that's going to help you sound better in English.

would say, yeah, again, depends on like how broadly you want to speak about it.

Like in a lot of traditional, I would say like, Wicca or certain like sects, S-E-C-T-S, of witchcraft or witchery or paganism.

There are like the high priestess and the priest or emperor kind of embodying and sometimes sex is used or even like the athame, which is like a dagger.

There's lots of different kinds of ritual associations, but often it is about this like give or take or things like that.

We, we have these characteristics that are cult-like.

And, and they, they usually, at least in sociology, they evolve from a cult that's negative to a sect, S-E-C-T, uh, that's still small but now a little bit more positive.

Yeah.

And then that evolves to a, you know, a denomination or a following or a church or...

I don't care.

Look, we got all kinds of sects, S-E-C-T-S.

I just want to be clear.

And, you know, religious doctrine and dogma and what have you.
