A very strong passion of hers that is noted during Mixcloud interviews and collaboration with recent Defected and Champion campaign.

Seeing plenty of sets on and off the airways, Maria has graced the stage at Phonox, Village Underground, The Jazz Cafe, DJ Mag HQ, Queen's Yard, Wilderness, Secret Garden Party, We Out Here and Glastonbury, playing alongside the likes of Swimming Pool, Jeremy Underground, Eliza Rose, Charlie Dark, Mr Scruff, Jaguar and Lovebirds, just to name a few.

Alongside her busy DJ schedule, she runs Soul Satisfaction, further showcasing her favourite artists with a dose of Soulful House, with their next event at Grove this Saturday with Max and Al.

She's hosted live radio shows at We Out Here Festival, been on panel discussions to support those in the industry, and has stepped in to host BBC Introducing on numerous occasions.

I love that.

But yeah, it's definitely a different experience, but I think it's a really special one.

And yeah, I encourage people that love radio to do festival radio, whether that's production or presenting there, because I used to do Secret Garden Party radio with Sammy, who is a producer here, and lots of other DJs and stuff.

And that was such an experience because at a festival, like things can go wrong or like, you just have to think on your feet and it's a lot more, you just all got to come together as a team and just embrace it.

It's giving secret grand party on acid.

I haven't been Secret Garden Party.

I would like to, and then the acidified version Lost Village would be incredibly nice to do as well.

But honestly, this year has been absolutely mental.

Yeah.

Were you? I've done, like, nine Glastonbury's, Secret Garden Party, V, Reading.

Like, they are awesome because they were my view of, like, value for money.

You pay 150, 200 quid.

She spent 12 years at Mishkondorea building a successful practice in IP and commercial litigation before moving into broader litigation work.

Alongside that, she worked on some incredible projects outside of work, including becoming the commercial director of the Secret Garden Party.

Susie once had her sights set firmly on becoming the managing partner of Mishcon, but over time she realised that that path wasn't necessarily the one she wanted.

Instead, she made the bold decision to go out on her own, and she now supports emerging artists, designers and other creative businesses.

Um, around the same time, um, I was also going out a lot more and networking, doing a lot more, um, events with Mishcon, um, you know, the kind of big black tie corporate events where, you know, you're in a room and you're meeting amazing people.

Mishcon was involved in all of the best kind of creative events.

pro bono projects whether they were like the Walpole Brands of Tomorrow program and they worked with the British Fashion Council up-and-coming designers and so I'd get involved in all of those bits and pieces and one day I was at an event and I met a couple of guys who I um got quite excited about one in particular who was an who was an artist he's a British uh Nigerian artist who grew up in Islington and has really shaped my career from the minute we met um because I just there was something about him that I was I wanted to be a part of And around the same time, you know, I'd been at Secret Garden Party, which is the festival I was working on for three years.

And I'd been at Mishcon at that point for almost 12 years.
