Tonight is the final day of the regular season in North Carolina high school football.

Playing college football to tempt your palate all weekend long.

That's right.

If you don't want to do math, that means that I graduated high school in 2016, which was such a peak year in so many ways.

And I think, I mean, part of it is because I was a senior in high school and it's just, that's a really evolutionary time in one's life.

And I mean, aside from that, though, I mean, we had even just within the makeup and beauty community, it was when it was thriving and when it was at its peak.

And as someone who has the most interest in makeup, that is when I really started getting into makeup because of all the YouTube beauty gurus and the cut creases and the highlighter of it all and everything.

And that for me was kindergarten through fifth grade.

And then I went to middle school, which was sixth grade through eighth grade.

And then I went to high school, which was ninth grade through 12th grade.

Unfortunately, no Patrick Donnelly today.

But fortunately, we're joined by Arlington High School's head coach, Dexter, director of hockey, John Messuri.

John, what's up? Morning, Evan.

How are you? I am great.

He's a North American league guy.

But, you know, a lot of it is like, it's like anything.

It's like being in high school.

It's like being in prep school.

And I'm going to talk more about it when we come back from the break, but thank you for asking, Hayes.

The first-ever high school Gator Bowl.

We're doing it in conjunction with the Gator Bowl, in conjunction with 1010XL.

It's going to be on radio.

We're really proud that it's going to be all over.

We're doing a bowl game, like the old Mennonack Bowl they used to do here in town.

We're going to pick two – prominent high school teams in the Northeast Florida area, Jacksonville area, that did not make the playoffs.

We don't know who yet because the regular season hasn't ended.

So,

well, So what was high school like life then? Like, since it sounds like you're into soccer and you're pretty talented and stuff, like how were your grades and stuff?

My grades were mediocre because, you know, school was hard for me.

You know, I'm dyslexic and ADHD and You know, I can't read, I can't write, kind of type shit.

So I could do any of the sports.

So, you know, I was popular, you know, because of that.

So that got me into parties, right? But before high school, I got kicked out of school in eighth grade for smoking pot.

So that was kind of like, yeah, that was like a wake up call.
