So, yeah, we're investigating some potential natural disasters.

And the interesting thing is we started in Seashell.

That's where we've been working for the last few days.

And we just, you know, we've been seeing a pattern.

I know that's not here, but it's, you know, on the coast.

Why they say their landlord is to blame.

Abandoned homes in Sechelt's Seawatch subdivision are a serious concern for the community, and apparently it's only getting worse.

Two homes caught fire over the weekend, and neighbours fear the flames could have easily spread.

The District of Sechelt says in a statement that sea watch remains a complex issue.

The fire department highlights another problem, a lack of clear direction.

Staff remain on site and the eastbound curb lane of Marine will stay closed west of Capilano while repairs are underway.

In Sechelt 2, abandoned homes caught fire in the barricaded Seawatch neighborhood, burning one of them to the ground and heavily damaging a second.

Residents in neighboring communities noticed smoke this morning coming from Seawatch.

When firefighters arrived, they found two homes ablaze with flames shooting through the roof of one of them.

I'd had a ferry issue going on with my transportation critic role.

I was doing a tour through Sechelt, through Powell River, literally get back and next thing you know, the next week it's shutting down.

Talking to the local mayor, John Henderson, he's been raising the alarm on this for a very long time.

And he's right now with that mill gone and the way the A lot of the businesses are having a hard time finding employees.
