Is Medic One leadership, how is that different? For example, I know you spend upwards of a year once you get into medic school, but then you're in the Medic One program and you were probably in it for decades, we'll say, the medic part of it.

How is the leadership on the King County Medic One side of things, if at all different? Was there different kinds of curriculum you went through? Is there a different kind of atmosphere as far as gaining leadership development? Anything different?

You know, I don't know if it's different as far as teaching leadership, but I will say this, and I've thought this for a long time.

I think the best officer training that we have in this area is Medic One.

And it's not because they beat leadership into your brain.

It's not because they do that.

But then not only does it teach you how to make that decision quickly, but also how to utilize the resources that you have around you.
