While park rangers and FBI agents were processing the details, teams on the ground and in the air continued to look for Jenny, and in fact, this search turned into the largest search in Yosemite's history.

Search and rescue teams, tracker dogs, volunteers, park rangers, police, FBI, and even paratroop jumpers were all brought in on the search, and despite hundreds of pairs of eyes surveying the land, no sign of Jenny was found in the park.

Mike was thoroughly interviewed by the FBI, as were Jeannie's known associates and friends.

The FBI was quickly able to rule out Mike after he passed a polygraph test.

A wide-scale search was carried out for Carol, but no sign of her has ever been found.

Over 3,600 hours were put into the investigation, but it remained fruitless.

Volunteers, search and rescue personnel, sheriffs, investigators, and other experts, totaling 64 people, all joined in the search for Carol, but were unable to locate any clues.

The sheriff's office put two and two together and knew that they had been the last ones to see Austin on January 13th, 2021.

According to the Facebook page Find Dave Cook, his map for Pyramid Peak was still in the car, although perhaps he just forgot the map.

Dave did not have his crampons with him, but he did have microspikes.

Search and Rescue and the Pekin County Sheriff's Office did a good job searching.

There were multiple helicopters, boots on the ground, a plane with a million-dollar camera, and sniffer dogs used in the search.

Looking at official state files, local search and rescue teams and the Alaska state troopers will tell you that they don't really put much stock in the Alaska Triangle myth.

Right.

Well, they wouldn't really.

Nobody came across a single clue as to Dwayne's whereabouts.

The search on the 20th included National Park Service staff as well as search and rescue teams from Olympic Mountain Rescue, Everett Mountain Rescue and Olympic Corrections Center trackers.

Another search began late on Saturday the 22nd with a quick look around the area near his car.

Sunday's windy, rainy weather curtailed search efforts, but on Monday the search intensified, but again to no avail.

He was wearing tan or blue zip-off pants.

Yosemite National Park averaged between 16 and 17 fatalities per year from 2014 to 2019, according to Park Service statistics.

Over that same span of time, Yosemite Search and Rescue personnel conducted an average of 240 missions annually.

There were 133 deaths in the park from 2007 to 2018, the second highest total among national parks after Lake Mead National Recreation Area on the Colorado River in Arizona and Nevada, which had 201 deaths, according to a 2020 analysis by Panish Shea & Boyle LLP, a plaintiff's personal injury law firm with offices in Nevada and California.

He's a pilot trained as a mechanical engineer.

He volunteers with Mountain Search and Rescue.

And he helped stand up California's first drive-through COVID testing site way back in 2020.

on two teams that both were mountain rescue teams doing search and rescue operations.

Mountain rescue implies that we are able to deploy for 72-hour unsupported deployments anywhere in the state of California, snow, ice, vertical terrain, helicopter deployments, backcountry, heat in the summer, all of the stuff, and go find and extricate people who are lost anywhere.
