Sean McMahon

But they did not explore bringing back other players like Samu Kerevi, um, who, who's a giant midfielder, and when you're light on in the pack, you need to have some bigger bodies in the midfield, and they've already lost Hunter Paisami.

You know, not having Noah Lolesio around, not thinking about guys like Sean McMahon who are explosive back rowers, who are fit.

It, it's not good enough to e- to accept w- uh, the, the, to, to, to just go, "You know what? Like this is outside the international window." Because Jordan Petaia was selected in the squad, wider squad, and he plays up in Japan.

He hasn't even arrived there.

We'll come to the Australia squad, Australia A squad that was named this morning a little bit later.

But yeah, I take all your points there.

I'm not so sure about Sean McMahon being thrown up.

I, I think his time has passed, and he has shown little interest really in reconnecting with the Wallabies.

There's plenty to unpack here, and there's a theme running through today's episode, earning your opportunity.

New All Black Bradley Slater, for example, has spoken about bringing work rate, doing his job, and I think that's a fitting lead to our guest, Sean McMahon.

I'm really excited to talk about his journey from Aussie Sevens, a minimal contract at the Rebels that led to him becoming a focal point of that team.

The Wallabies test matches that he was able to get the call-up when he was still a young player.

He's represented Australia at the Sevens level, built himself into a major figure into the Melbourne Rebels after arriving on what he's, he's called in the past a minimal contract, and then that hard work paid off, earning Wallaby selection, representing his country twenty-seven times.

And now he is overseas in Japan, showing how you can still enjoy yourself while also getting after your goals with his movement, ETDub, AKA Earn the Weekend.

So please welcome to the pod, the one, the only, Sean McMahon.

Thank you so much for joining, brother.
