25:04
How do you see it?
25:07
I think that there's no doubt it's going to improve the company.
25:11
And we're seeing it's over.
25:13
FY26 results were good.
25:15
FY27 was good.
25:16
There was nothing wrong in its result.
25:17
But again, the stock's come off because it's got this sentiment headwind.

11 MINS LATER

36:21
Sean, a lot to like then.
28:33
you reckon ResMed will have a good 27, better 27?
28:35
We recently sold ResMed, I think recently, a few weeks or a few months ago, and recognize everything that it's a great company.
28:44
But we felt at that moment in time that we would get a far bigger bang for our buck from ProMedicus, which is, and it's turned out to be a great short-term play.
28:53
And it's interesting, I sat down with James and said, maybe we should actually, we're going to sound like traders, but maybe we should go back into ResMed from ProMedicas because we're 25% ahead of the curve, which is not to be sneezed at when the market goes up 10 or 15% per annum, you know, in history.
29:08
But that's the sort of swings we are seeing in sentiment.
29:10
Yeah.
29:11
So, you know, if you were looking at the health care sector, I think we'll see stocks like Ansel, you know, FPH.
30:42
I'm not
16:27
She says, do you keep dollar cost averaging in this situation, Sean?
16:32
A few questions in there, isn't it? Well, let me just address how we look upon dollar cost averaging.
16:38
When I'm looking at a stock, when James is looking at a stock, if we don't plan to accumulate on the back foot before we dip our toe in the water, we very rarely change our plans.
16:47
If we say, right, we look to buy BHP at $50 and we'll buy more at $48, buy more at $46, the plan was set at the beginning.
16:55
And when that happens, then we're looking at it in a cold light of day and human emotion is not coming into it.
17:01
If you've bought that stock and now emotion wise, you're getting uncomfortable and you think about averaging and you haven't made the plan beforehand, it's not necessarily coming from a position of strength.
17:11
So to me, averaging without a plan is a very, very dangerous game because you end up with a bigger position in the stock going down and that's not good.

40:10
Not a huge one, but just another sort of piece of the puzzle for Rio amidst all the commodity interest, Sean.

Our stock of the day pick was joining us Sean Hickman from Market Matters and Scott Phillips from The Motley Fool.
7:45
I think an okay result from Credit Corp.
7:47
No, we knew what the market wanted, as you've already mentioned.
7:49
I mean, that's a pretty significant 15 odd percent miss against the Jefferies number.
7:52
And no surprise, shares down at 14%.
7:55
I don't have a strong view on Credit Corp's long-term performance.
7:58
It's a really tough business.
19:56
Sean?
19:59
I think obviously I prefer commodities to Scott.
20:02
And two years ago, I sat in this room and said our top pick for the following year or two was Samphire or was it Copper Play.
20:09
And since BHPs bought Oz Minerals, which we felt at the time and owned at the time was a better quality Copper Play, Samphire is where the weight of money is gone.
20:18
for the ASX when it comes to pure copper play.
20:21
So we're long samphire in our active growth portfolio, and it's looked after us extremely well.
20:28
It doesn't take much to see that on the chart.

22 MINS LATER

42:04
What are your thoughts, Sean?
3:36
It comes down to company profitability and earnings, right? Of
3:42
course it does in the bigger picture.
3:43
Markets are going to go, they're driven by earnings.
3:45
But sentiment has an enormous impact on the market.
3:49
Now, last year, during a lot of the volatility, a lot of the uncertainty, I sat here and week in, week out and said, we're bullish.
3:56
And by the end of the year, it was up.
3:57
Didn't look very good in April, but fortunately we held our nerve and we bought some of the stocks there.

34 MINS LATER

38:10
Ridiculously expensive, but is it cheap enough for you?
5:40
Well,
5:42
the answer is yes to his question.
5:43
If we get an industrial slowdown, that by definition will drag Dr.
5:47
Copper along for the ride.
5:48
However, we are very bullish copper over the medium term.
5:52
We think the global electrification is going to drive copper prices higher.
5:57
It almost broke out of a multi-year high last week.

20 MINS LATER

25:52
Hindsight's 20-20, right?
7:13
think the share price is a better look.
7:16
but yeah the thing to look at sure revenue 801 million came in up 45 year on year but that was you know a very slight beat on expectations so how a share moves after result is normally comes down to a couple of things how does it complete compare to what the market was expecting how it guides and going forward which is probably the most important thing at the moment and also how well the stock has rallied or fallen into the respective results so there's more a few moving parts here We saw that with CSL.
7:44
CSL's result was mixed, messy, wasn't a disaster, but the stock had rallied strongly into the result, and we all know what happened there.
7:52
So that is the reason, in our opinion, why Southern Cross hasn't really gone anywhere.
7:57
It's failed to push through $2 at this stage.
8:01
And one of my concerns with this stock is, as it grows, it's a half a billion dollar company at the moment.

26 MINS LATER

34:25
What do you think, Sean?
24:28
So do you have a personal anecdote or a market matters anecdote about Minres?
24:33
Well, I had to go after being very proud of that.
24:35
We didn't get caught with Pilbara to sit on my sword and say we did get caught with Minresources.
24:40
You know, it's one of the two billionaires behaving badly, as we like to call it.
24:45
And for various reasons, that's been very much a story over the last 12 months.
24:49
But now, and it's just what Rudy was saying, we've seen some of these stocks in the space have big moves in recent weeks.
24:56
We saw it even more so with the Uranium stocks.

17 MINS LATER

42:27
you're not concerned about recession in the US, trade trouble, getting the products, which presumably some are manufactured in China.
